The little tykes are a-growing so fast Momma doesn't have time to keep up. Solution: When your waist is tiny but your legs are a- sproutin' just add DUST RUFFLES. Check it out for yourself..not bad...even kinda cute. What do YOU think? Have I told you how much I LOVE my new sewing machine? Just bought it because I nearly had a heart attack when I found out how much they were going to charge me for S + A's bedroom drapes. So to save the $300 in drapes I bought a $300+ sewing machine and made the drapes myself. Wanna see?

such a sweet picture!
OMG, you can sew?! Maybe you can make me some cute underwear--seeing that the whole world likes looking at my ass. Ha ha...
Tooo tooo cute...
Rony
Rony, underwear may be a stretch for me but for you, I will try. Still laughing over here at the image of you running around half-exposed.............
Ohhh, sooo cute , great idea. I'm so jelous, I wish I could sew. My hubby even has to sew on his own buttons. Very talented Mom, lucky girls.
My husband is the button sewer here too!
Where are the curtains??
LOVE that idea - now, if I only knew how to sew!!
How thrifty are you? I must remember this tip. Do you think dust ruffles would be alright for boys? Even if I did them in blue?
Oh my achin' word......LOVE it! They are stylin'! You go Sewing Mama.....I'll send you my measurements this week.....well, maybe not! ;)
What a cute idea! They look like fancy boutique clothes, good job!
Christine
Those are soooo cute, and I am going to totally steal your idea!!!
;0)
I love anything ruffly or frilly on little girls!
nice job!!
Glad to see you did that. I am planning to do that to Glenys' pants. SO did you just buy lace to add or what?

I don't do sewing anymore. Some hats have to hang. I picked blogging instead over sewing.
Great idea with the ruffle clever girl.
Did you take the lace off your panties?
Some people have been asking how I created this look. In the "trim" section of the fabric store I found this great, white eyelet ruffled trim ready to attach. I unravelled the original hem of the jeans before I attached the ruffle (less bulk). Do your ruffle seam first, then attach. Took less than 15 minutes and the trim was 60% off to boot. Cheap, cheap.
I LOVE the pants!!
What a great idea!
