Like Weeds......

The little tykes are a-growing so fast Momma doesn't have time to keep up. Solution: When your waist is tiny but your legs are a- sproutin' just add DUST RUFFLES. Check it out for yourself..not bad...even kinda cute. What do YOU think? Have I told you how much I LOVE my new sewing machine? Just bought it because I nearly had a heart attack when I found out how much they were going to charge me for S + A's bedroom drapes. So to save the $300 in drapes I bought a $300+ sewing machine and made the drapes myself. Wanna see?

Rony, underwear may be a stretch for me but for you, I will try. Still laughing over here at the image of you running around half-exposed.............

Ohhh, sooo cute , great idea. I'm so jelous, I wish I could sew. My hubby even has to sew on his own buttons. Very talented Mom, lucky girls.

How thrifty are you? I must remember this tip. Do you think dust ruffles would be alright for boys? Even if I did them in blue?

Glad to see you did that. I am planning to do that to Glenys' pants. SO did you just buy lace to add or what?

I don't do sewing anymore. Some hats have to hang. I picked blogging instead over sewing.
Great idea with the ruffle clever girl.
Did you take the lace off your panties?

Some people have been asking how I created this look. In the "trim" section of the fabric store I found this great, white eyelet ruffled trim ready to attach. I unravelled the original hem of the jeans before I attached the ruffle (less bulk). Do your ruffle seam first, then attach. Took less than 15 minutes and the trim was 60% off to boot. Cheap, cheap.
